We have a new opening for a full time Psychologist - Primary Care Behavioral Health at the Keesler Medical Center , Keesler Air Force Base MS . The type of work may include but is not limited to the following Core Duties Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct and facility privileges Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews psychological testing and collateral sources as appropriate Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries Assist in rehabilitation of patients Additional Duties Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental and behavioral health wellness programs addictions stress management group therapies Deliver records and reports required to document procedures performed care provided utilizing the Health Maintenance Strategies Manual HMSI standards Serve as advisor consultant to other staff in specialized areas clinical psychology comprehensive psychological evaluations diagnosis treatment military duty dispositions Conduct clinical staff education when requested warranted enhance knowledge understanding awareness screening identification treatment monitoring post traumatic stress disorder traumatic brain injury combat non combat related disorders Provide consultative behavioral healthcare enrollees Fleet Centered Medical Home Port FCMP evidence based interventions Clinical Practice Guidelines treating behavioral health problems Provide timely succinct feedback primary care physicians PCMs consultations findings recommendations Apply biopsycho social model assessment care provided Present recommended treatment plans teams physicians social workers psychologists Corpsmen nursing staff appropriate Assess psychological state use psycho diagnostic evaluations psychotherapy Provide concise documentation recommendations electronic medical record hours seen Develop participate group medical appointments Shared Medical Appointments SMA Drop In Group Medical Appointments DlGMA PCM May be required travel local national meetings conferences Recommendations military duty dispositions e g full duty limited duty
