Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Project Scientist:

Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples utilizing different sampling techniques.
Gather, analyze, and interpret data.
Assist with due diligence (ASTM Phase I) projects.
Perform thirdparty hazardous waste and permit compliance reviews.
Assist with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations (RSR) and Property Transfer Programbased reports including, but not limited to Completion of Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Verifications, Status Reports.
Assist with Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) based reports including, but not limited to Immediate Response Action (IRA) reports, Comprehensive Response Action reports such as MCP Phase I through Phase V, Permanent Solutions.
Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
Work directly with staff and managementlevel team members with field and reporting responsibilities.

What we're looking for:

BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field.
36 years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and familiarity of hazardous waste tracking.
Experience with Stormwater Pollution Plan and Prevention (SWPPP) projects including facility inspections and sampling.
The ability to successfully multitask, safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
40hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
Light construction experience/handson skills a plus.
Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
