Qualifications
Registered Nurse License (North Carolina) required Experience as a charge nurse, preceptor, quality improvement champion or other related leadership experience preferredGraduate of accredited school of nursingHigh school diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) requiredBasic Life SupportDemonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and clinical care delivery processesKnowledge of federal, state, & local regulatory requirementsStrong interpersonal communication skills
Job Details
Assists in Managing activities of the unit, monitors quality, service and utilization standardsAssists GI Nurse Manager in the day-to-day shift activitiesAssists in Managing the unit's day to day clinical operations including practice standards, staffing, fiscal management, quality improvement department, employee safety programs, and risk managementEnsures the highest quality of care is provided and is in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and established departmental policies and proceduresAssists in Developing and implementing action plans to improve staff developmentMonitors the quality of service and utilization standards and assumes specific responsibility for patient care at the unit levelEnsures coordinated plans of treatment, customer focused care and cost-effective utilization of servicesImplements best practice models Investigates and resolves patient/family member concerns regarding patient care
