    Description

    LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a visionary Director of Engineering to guide our operational and engineering teams. If you're a seasoned engineer with a knack for leadership and a commitment to excellence, we invite you to join our forward-thinking company.

    Location: Santa Clara County, CA (with up to 10% local travel)

    Salary: $185,000 - $235,000 Annually + bonus

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily operations of the engineering and detailing teams, ensuring efficiency and quality at every turn.
    • Actively participate in and support Quality Control processes.
    • Foster a supportive and accessible mentoring environment that encourages growth and development within the team.
    • Define and implement strategic goals in alignment with our company's mission and values.
    • Collaborate with the finance department to integrate engineering plans with broader company strategies and financial forecasts.
    • Lead recruitment and training initiatives to build a robust engineering team.
    • Develop and manage the department's budget, optimizing resource allocation.
    • Additional responsibilities as required to excel in the role of Engineering Director.

    Qualifications:

    • Over 10 years of experience in engineering leadership, including at least 5 years in the construction, electrical, or plumbing sectors.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
    • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting technology.
    • 5+ years of leadership experience (management or above) in HVAC and Plumbing Engineering and Design for commercial and/ or industrial projects.
    • Experience managing unionized staff is highly beneficial.
    • Certifications such as Lean or a Mechanical License are preferred.
    • Exceptional mentoring skills with a focus on team development.
