Description:


This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse, RN professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Loyola Medicine's 3 hospitals are located approximately 30 minutes from Downtown Chicago.


The Orthopedic & Spine Unit is a 21-bed unit that cares for post-operative orthopedic patients, post-operative neuro-spine, post-operative bariatric, post-operative plastic surgery patients. In addition to general medical patients who are also admitted to the unit.


Support staff on the unit includes Orthopedic Coordinator, Respiratory Therapy, physical and occupational and speech therapy, case management, nutritional services, social work, pharmacy, pastoral care, and community nursing service.

Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Bariatric service support is available either in-house or by pager 24/7.

Flexible self-scheduling, with designated third weekend commitment and accommodating three holidays per year.

MacNeal nurses participate in shared governance and are active in practice-related decision making that influence their daily work.

Our nurses are empowered to make meaningful changes to process and policy to positively impact patient outcomes and their work environment.

Furthermore, we foster an environment of professional growth through continued education opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and support for nursing specialty certification.
