- Review contract specifications, determine and document requirements for shipboard electrical power generation, distribution, lighting, control, automation, communications and navigation systems
- Perform calculations applying electrical engineering principles, techniques, procedures and criteria
- Conduct design reviews and manage subcontract and internal engineering activities
- Write and review major system/equipment Purchase Specifications, perform systems/equipment and vendor evaluations
- Electrical Engineering degree
- At least 3+ years of Marine Electrical Engineering experience
- Shipyard experience with new-build vessel construction, upgrades, conversations or repairs.
- Experience in electrical system design using AutoCad

Job DescriptionA leader in high-quality marine vessels is looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their growing team. You will perform calculations to support all phases of design including Concept, Functional, and Production. This role will be fully on-site in the Greater New Orleans Area and is open for varying levels of experience from Level I to Level III.
