Job Summary:
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist by handing them instruments during procedures
- Take and develop dental xrays
- Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts
- Provide patients with postoperative instructions following dental work
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Proficiency in medical documentation and Eaglesoft software
- Familiarity with dental assisting and medical imaging techniques
- Ability to record vital signs accurately
- Understanding of CAD/CAM technology in dentistry
- Knowledge of human anatomy and dental terminology
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
