Description
Under supervision of the Portage Township Trustee, the Site Director oversees the daily operations of the Bonner Senior and Community Center.
The duties and responsibilities assigned are as follows:
Duties:
- Ensuring the wellbeing and safety of all staff and members
- Managing and training staff
- Membership recruitment and development
- Accurate record reporting and bookkeeping
Staffing Management:
- Encouraging staff to properly manage their time.
- Ensuring employees are properly trained.
- Establishing deadlines
- Communicating objectives clearly to staff
- Help create longterm and shortterm goals for the staff and center
- Evaluate programming to ensure its effectiveness.
Facilities Management:
- Ensure that the building and grounds are maintained and in peak condition.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities transportation vehicles are safe and secure.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years' experience in a director or leadership role
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Work history in senior services.
- Organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to multitask.
- Problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Publisher
- CPR and First aid certified.
- Problemsolving skills
