The PARS Support Analyst is responsible to provide clerical and other support type services to the PARS team. The support services contribute to Client satisfaction, Return on Investment (ROI) and overall PARS success. Occasional travel may be necessary.


Essential Functions:


  • Provide support for appeals and projects within the PARS team
  • Retrieve mail from US Post Office, open, sort and document correspondence/mail received from insurance payers as related to appeal activity
  • Prepare incoming mail/correspondence for scanning & retention.
  • Identify and distribute all mail needing immediate attention
  • Prepare outgoing appeal letters. This includes printing, sorting letters, placing in envelopes, metering and delivering for mail pick up
  • Retrieve & distribute incoming faxes
  • Retrieve & save medical records required in the appeals process for access by remote PARS staff
  • Perform other appeal related duties as needed

Qualifications:


Experience:

-
Minimum 2 years' experience in healthcare required. Experience in an administrative environment a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail & accuracy required
  • Works well in a teamoriented structure to achieve goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent problem solving and selfdirection are critical.

Abilities:


  • Advanced PC skills, with proficiency in utilizing Microsoft office products (Word, EXCEL, and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively with team and management
  • Ability to embrace change and be flexible
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment, handle multiple priorities & take initiative

Education:


  • Some college preferred and equivalent experience.
