The Medical Faculty is an integral part of the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg and collaborates with the University Hospital Magdeburg A.ö.R.

in research, teaching, and patient care.

The research profile of the faculty is characterized by two main focuses:
"Immunology including Molecular Medicine of Inflammation" and "Neuroscience". Approximately 185 students are enrolled in the Human Medicine program and around 20 students in the Master's program in Immunology each year.
