    Job DescriptionLead Process Technician (Injection molding) - CR Akron, OH
    Pay: $20 - 28/hr Industry: Plastic injection molding Location: Akron, OHSchedule: Full-time / 2nd or 3rd shift available We are seeking a skilled Lead Injection Molding Process Technician to oversee and optimize injection molding processes for this stable company near the Akron, Oh region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in injection molding, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead efforts to optimize injection molding processes to improve product quality, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap rates.
    • Set up injection molding machines and troubleshoot issues to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime.
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications.
    • Train and mentor injection molding operators to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to achieve production goals and resolve any issues that arise.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to implement changes that increase efficiency and reduce costs.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent education is required. A technical degree or certification in injection molding technology is preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years experience in injection molding processes, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role is required.
    • Strong knowledge of injection molding equipment, materials, and processes.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Ability to stand, walk, use hands & fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
