Who are we looking for?

What will you help us with?

  • Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
  • Observes all rules and regulations at World of Wonder and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
  • Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parentteacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintains an attractive, wellkept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the World Of Wonder Childcare Center.

Minimum Requirement:

CDA Certificate (Child Development Associate) or a degree in Early Childhood Education

  • At least 2 years of experience in childcare
  • Must be available to work 40 weekly hours
  • Agree to 9:30 am 6:30 pm schedule for the first year of employment

Center Details:


  • Open Monday
  • Friday
  • 7:30 am 6:30 pm
  • Closed nights, weekends and 14 major holidays

  • Schedule a working interview. Working interview takes place Monday-Friday and lasts 3 hours.

Key Responsibilities:


Curriculum Development and Implementation:


  • Design and execute ageappropriate curricula that align with the child care center's philosophy and educational objectives.
  • Develop lesson plans and learning activities that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Integrate creativity, play, and exploration into the curriculum to engage children's natural curiosity.

Classroom Management:


  • Create a safe, inclusive, and wellorganized classroom environment conducive to learning and positive interactions.
  • Establish and enforce classroom rules and routines that promote discipline and respect while fostering children's independence.

Child Assessment and Progress Tracking:


  • Observe and assess children's development, behavior, and learning styles to tailor instruction to their individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, achievements, and areas for improvement, and communicate this information to parents or guardians.

Parent Communication:


  • Foster open and effective communication with parents or guardians, providing regular updates on their child's experiences, accomplishments, and areas of growth.
  • Conduct parentteacher conferences and meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.

Staff Collaboration:


  • Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, aides, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to support staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Classroom Environment Enhancement:


  • Design and organize the physical classroom environment to promote learning, exploration, and safety.
  • Utilize ageappropriate materials, equipment, and resources to stimulate children's senses and encourage active participation.
