JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: QUOTATION COORDINATOR

DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION

REPORTS TO: PLANT MANAGER

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Prepare cost estimates to aid management in bidding on or determining price of product for new business or service. Provides support for EPICS die inventory system. Prices and orders new dies and tooling along with ordering inventory for die shop. Provides support to Production Plant Manager as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:

• Maintains all die engineering CAD files from die vendors
• Keeps track of all replaced dies, all dies on order and customer approval prints
• Prepare quotes for new business
• Draws prints using AutoCAD to determine weights, tooling sizes, etc for new orders
• Maintain die section and enter new die/tooling information into EPICS
• Figure tolerances for prints, price and order new dies and order replacement tooling
• Keeps record of all new dies using Project Launch system
• Reverse engineer measurements from customer samples into AutoCAD drawings
• Orders tooling for die shop
• Attend weekly meetings and keep staff up to date on new die/tooling shipment dates
• Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
• Assist Plant Manager as needed
• Keeps track of all samples and makes sure customer has received them
• Additional job duties as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree or 5 years equivalent experience
• AutoCAD experience required
• Computer experience required
