    Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

    Location: Philadelphia, PA

    Type: 3+ Month Contract (Likely to Extend)

    MUST HAVE INPATIENT EXPERIENCE

    Job Summary: As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in various tasks. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, processing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Medication Preparation and Dispensing:

    • Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
    • Package and label medications appropriately for patient use.

    Inventory Management:

    • Monitor medication inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
    • Rotate stock and check for expired medications to ensure compliance with regulations.

    Prescription Processing:

    • Receive and interpret prescription orders from patients and healthcare providers.
    • Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy computer system.

    Customer Service:

    • Assist patients with prescription pick-up and answer any questions they may have about their medications.
    • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding medication orders and patient care.

    Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintain patient records and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws.
    • Complete administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and processing insurance claims.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
    • Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and software.
