WHAT YOU'LL DO:


As the Global Raw Materials Developer, you will develop new trims and hardware as well as update existing items as needed for all product categories, divisions, and entities within the Liberated Brands portfolio, ensuring that items created are appropriate for price, end-use, compliance and aesthetics.

You will work on all aspects of development, including status tracking, evaluation, and commentary for supplier submissions, and ensure all items are accurately commercialized within stated timelines.


  • Collaborate with Design on seasonal or projectspecific trim and hardware needs
  • Source and develop new trim and hardware within Liberated Brands nominated supplier matrix; offering creative solutions as necessary within brand's sourcing and pricing strategy.
  • Provide technical guidance to Design and Product Development related to execution, form, and function of trims.
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure all new trim developments meet requirements as outlined in Liberated Brands' testing manual.
  • Serve as the primary contact between brands and suppliers as correspondence relates to their developments.
  • Facilitate inperson and virtual meetings with suppliers as necessary to resolve any development issues.
  • Negotiate with suppliers when necessary; to meet price, minimum, and lead time parameters as advised by M&D for each new development.
  • Obtain TDS for each new development from supplier; ensure all necessary fields have been completed and uploaded into PLM.
  • Update development tracker and follow up with suppliers daily to ensure all new developments are on track and approved by deadlines outlined in development calendar.
  • Maintain organized records of approved submits in Materials Library.
  • Attend tradeshows and research retail market to stay informed on industry trends; filtering and translating trend landscape to identify brandright concepts.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:


  • College degree in Fashion or related field.
  • 35 years relevant work experience.
  • Strong understanding of all trim types, their parts, and their functions.
  • Competent in PLM systems.
  • Understanding of the product creation process and calendar.
  • Broad understanding of industry test requirements and methods; the ability to inform and provide relevant guidance to crossfunctional teams.
  • Creative and highly motivated team player; able to communicate and collaborate with crossfunctional teams effectively and efficiently.
  • Rigorous attention to detail; ability to ensure accuracy of all information.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing realities and constraints; of all facets related to trims and hardware from concept thru production.
  • Understanding of Liberated Brands, marketplace competitors, and the retail environment that we sell in.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Solutionoriented and selfsufficient; able to operate effectively without close supervision to drive solutions and meet deadlines.
  • This position requires some onsite hours at our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely
