Field Service Technician - System Maintenance
Location:
Ashland, VA (Serving Central Virginia)
Duration: 3-month contract (with potential for extension or conversion)
Pay Rate:
$ $35.00/hr. (Based on skills and experience)
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday) with flexibility for on-call schedule

Here's what awaits:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of industrial cranes and hoists to ensure compliance with Manufacturing, OSHA, and ANSI standards.
- Expertly troubleshoot and repair overhead material handling equipment, focusing on motor control systems.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
- Maintain effective communication with customers and the office to facilitate equipment repairs.
- Evaluate and propose repair recommendations, ensuring topnotch communication with all stakeholders.

- Opportunity for occasional overtime to tackle challenging tasks.
- Comfortably handle tasks at elevated heights and engage in heavy lifting.

Skills and Experience Required:
- Proficiency in AC/DC theory and troubleshooting 480VAC 3phase motor control systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent military background.
- Valid driver's license and a strong commitment to safety.
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, with expertise in drives, gearboxes, and field welding (tack).
- Proven track record in motor and drive troubleshooting.
- Skills in rigging, hanging steel, and blueprint reading are desirable.
- OSHA 10/30 certification is preferred.
- Expect a weekly workload averaging 5060 hours, with oncall duty required one week per month, depending on seniority.
Skills and Other Requirements:
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, with expertise in drives, gearboxes, and field welding (tack).
- Proven experience in motor and drive troubleshooting.
- Skills include rigging and hanging steel, along with blueprint reading.
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Expected weekly workload averages 5060 hours.
- Oncall duty may be required one week per month, contingent on hiring seniority.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must pass a preemployment drug test (10 panels for recreational drugs and opiates)
