JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains park facilities, grounds and equipment to ensure safety and cleanliness of County property. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department. 1 position is available.


Responsibilities:


  • Mows grass, cuts and sprays weeds on County property.
  • Repairs and replaces park signs and park equipment.
  • Performs minor repairs to park vehicles.
  • Operates heavy equipment as needed.
  • Repairs and replaces park fencing and performs concrete work.
  • Is held responsible for equipment used and uniforms issued.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Two years job related experience.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions.
  • General working knowledge of and ability to operate required equipment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others;
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.

SALARY RANGE:$ $19.64 hourly based on qualifications
