Production quality and efficiency using appropriate tools and equipment, qualified to perform special processes as needed Work from drawings, layouts, specifications, etc., plan sequences, selects tooling, arbors, speeds, feed rates, holding devices, etc.
Works to specifications maintaining quality standards involving the use of scales, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other measuring devices.May prescribe special grinding of milling cutters to accommodate unusual conditions, material characteristics or applications.
Uses a variety of precision measuring tools for set up.
Operates and makes in-process checks
Required to use several hand tools such as square, scale, wrench, etc. g. Consistently meets customer's quality requirements and expectations.2. Follow instructions - oral and/or writtena. Can properly read all blueprint and work instructionsb.
Will provide instruction and guidance to employees assigned to assist and as required, will participate in training of welders and other employees of the department of lesser classification.
