Kindergarten Teacher, Two Way Immersion (Spanish/English)

Situated in the Cambridgeport neighborhood, Amigos is a comprehensive Junior K - 8 school that welcomes students from various neighborhoods and cultural backgrounds. The Opportunity:

Your Skill Set:

  • As the incoming Kindergarten Teacher, you should possess many, if not all, of the following characteristics and qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university, including coursework in first and second language acquisition.

Proficiency in Spanish and English, including listening, speaking, reading, grammar, and writing at high levels (required):

  • Understanding and appreciation of Kindergarten students, their requirements, and interests.
  • Demonstrated successful past experience in a diverse environment and implementation of culturally responsive practices involving students from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Massachusetts Certification Requirement: Early Childhood PreK2; ESL PreK6; Foreign Language (Spanish) Certification PreK6, with relevant courses in teaching young children.
