- Draft a variety of motions and oppositions, mediation briefs, propound/respond to discovery, and prepare correspondence at the attorney's request
- Client contact including phone calls and office visits.
- Handle all cases from inception to settlement or trial
- Calendar all hearings, motions, discovery, and trial deadlines;
- Schedule hearing on motions, noticed depositions, and client appointments
- Provide assistance as to all trial preparations, including retain experts, schedule expert depositions, assemble trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, jury instructions, prepare and serve trial subpoenas.
- Mentor paralegals, train and supervise all support staff.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience.
- Working knowledge and competency with case management software: knowledge of Smart Advocate a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiar with CA court rules and civil procedures for state and federal court.
- E-filing in state and federal court
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a heavy case load
- Extremely detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
- High degree of professionalism.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and meet deadlines.
