You will encounter a wide array of challenges while contributing to the development of life-altering and life-saving treatments for patients in need.
In this position, you will conduct validation studies through biological sample analysis. Operating at the core of our project life cycle, you will handle a diverse range of sample validations including biologics, proteins, peptides, small molecules, and biomarkers with a team of skilled scientists.
This role exposes you to different analytical instruments, ensuring each project is unique. Unlike other places, at BioAgilytix, we don’t confine you to mere sample extraction - we empower you to evolve into a proficient scientist.
Essential Responsibilities:- Prepare worksheets with minimal supervision
- Establish plate maps
- Lead sample analysis projects
- Troubleshoot assays
- Handle data compilation and processing
- Create summary tables
- Conduct peer review of raw data
- Manage reagent orders
- Engage in assay development and validation
- Independently run assays
- Follow provided directives/methods
- Prepare buffers
- Utilize LIMS system
- Participate in sample analysis
- Perform pipetting
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate supplies inventory
- Ensure precise record-keeping per GxP guidelines
- Assume other necessary duties
- Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with over four years' experience in a scientific lab; or
- Master's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with over two years' experience in a scientific lab; or
- PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field with one year experience in a scientific lab
- Ability to carry out tasks accurately following strict methodologies, preparing samples, and operating lab equipment
- Effective teamwork under time constraints
- Capacity to multitask and take directions
- Strong attention to detail and organized approach
- Experience in a GxP environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
- This role does not involve supervisory duties
- Receives frequent supervision and instructions
- Occasionally exercises discretionary authority
- Primarily lab setting
- Might be exposed to biological fluids and potential infectious agents
- Occasional exposure to irritants, toxic materials, and hazardous waste
- Requires protective gear like eyewear and gloves
- Routine use of office equipment
- Ability to work upright/stationary for up to eight hours daily
- Repetitive hand movements and mobility
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
- Demonstrates strong computer skills
- Effective communication and interaction with others
- Capable of performing under stress and multitasking
- Regular attendance is mandatory
