About us
Adventures in Montessori Ocean Beach is a child care center serving Ocean Beach, Point Loma and San Diego. We are licensed for 44 children and have been at our location for almost two years.

We are a bilinual(Spanish/English) Montessori based preschool with a focus on a clean, warm, inviting and caring program for our children and families.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Preschool Floater.

As our floater, you will play a crucial role in supporting our preschool program by providing assistance and support to teachers and students throughout the day.

This is a full-time position from the hours of 8:30AM - 5PM.


Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with classroom management while teachers are on break or away from their classrooms.
• Fillin, as needed, based on teacher absences due to illness or timeoff.
• Assist with implementing ageappropriate activities and lessons
• Provide attentive and caring childcare and supervision
• Offer additional support to students as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom and school environment
• Possible help with office/admin work as needed.

Experience:

• Previous, recent and relevant experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is required
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques for young children
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications:

• Must be fully qualified as a preschool teacher in the state of California
• As we are a bilingual preschool, Spanish speaking is preffered but not required
• Recent references in a childcare center/preschool

Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
