As a
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator you will have the opportunity to support the execution of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest's DEI work plan and assist the organization in expressing its workplace value of _"We respect and honor all people"_.


As the primary support for the DEI Director and Vice President of Strategy, it is essential to provide assistance with logistics, event planning, scheduling, communications, tracking workplan activities, and maintaining electronic files.


In this role, you'll get to:

  • Coordinate and schedule logistics for meetings, DEI trainings and identity observances, to include but not limited to the following: manage calendars, send announcements, order supplies, print handouts, provide technical support, schedule training teams and participants, manage event logistics (venue, food), and track and follow-up on action items and attendance.
  • Maintain organized shared files for all groups and projects both internal to department and shared with agency.
  • Track and coordinate workplan progress and recruiting cycles for DEI Council and external trainings.
  • Assist with editing and formatting documents and presentations; video recording; editing, posting and maintenance of files.
  • Maintain and collect accreditation documents.
  • Assist and complete special projects by assigned deadline.

What we're looking for:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of Administrative/coordinator experience
  • Demonstrated experience with diversity, equity and inclusion concepts and commitment to continued learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to role model inclusive behaviors (e.g. listening to and learning from others' experiences, assuming positive intent, calling in).
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Systems thinker, able to consider how best to complete a task/document/project with efficiency and accuracy.
  • High attention to detail including the ability to proofread and format content properly.
  • Understanding/Experience working with database systems

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associates Degree
  • Experience working in a healthcare or nonprofit setting
