Successor Functional Machine Operator at Ruhleben Wastewater Treatment Plant (m/f/d)

We, at the wastewater treatment plants, ensure the annual, professional cleaning of over 250 million m3 of wastewater for Berlin and the surrounding area. Together with our commercial and administrative colleagues, we ensure the purification of wastewater.

What you will be doing:


On-the-job training in the following tasks:

  • Operating, monitoring, and controlling process equipment in control rooms
  • Checking and documenting compliance with legal requirements and regulatory obligations through onsite inspections
  • Disposing of raw materials, auxiliary materials, and operating materials, monitoring inventory levels, and initiating necessary orders in a timely manner
  • Conducting analyses in case of complex malfunctions, assessing the extent of damage and repair status, and requesting targeted support if necessary
  • Carrying out necessary shutdowns and switches for troubleshooting, and checking the implementation of prescribed measures

What you bring:


  • Training as a wastewater technician or waste disposal specialist with indepth knowledge of relevant tasks and willingness to participate in the internal training program "Functional Machine Operator Training"
  • Alternatively: Training as an industrial mechanic or mechatronics technician with indepth knowledge of relevant tasks and willingness to participate in the internal training program "Functional Machine Operator Training"
  • Extensive knowledge of the wastewater treatment process and sludge treatment
  • Indepth knowledge of water treatment processes
  • Desired: Class B driver
