Mission


The objective of the position of the Program Director is to assure that students of Career Care Institute receive their proper education.

Program Directors are responsible to ensure all aspects of the program's educational outcomes, including faculty training and evaluation, student training, and evaluations are completed and maintained.


The core responsibilities of a Program Director are:

to ensure that program delivery meets the institutions stated objectives, review and update curriculum as needed, meet with instructors' regularly to evaluate student and program progress, arrange Advisory Board meetings and implement recommendations made by advisory board members as appropriate or as needed.

Program Directors are expected to have superior knowledge, desire, organizational and management skills in all phases respective of their Program

Duties and Responsibility

In addition to the general responsibility, the LPXT Program Director is responsible for the following duties:

  • Assume the responsibilities of the Campus Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
  • Ensure all QC is performed according to time periods
  • Must be able to instruct in the Radiologic Sciences in Limited Scope of Practice
  • Perform class audits and instructor evaluations and make recommendations to instructors for improvement and communicate with the faculty supervisor.
  • Cooperate with the school director and other CCI staff including the Student Services Department, & Career Services Department.
  • Conduct Faculty Evaluations as needed.
  • Clocking in and out.
  • Encourage and assist students experiencing difficulty with progressing in their course satisfactorily.
  • Monitor student activities and physical facilities for safety compliance.
  • Take attendance, monitor student assignments and report absences, tardies, grades and student conduct violations to the registrar via advisement form, electronic database.
  • Document all private discussions with students pertaining to school using available vehicles such as incident reports, progress reports and/or Student Advisement Form.
  • Provide weekly audit reports
  • Attend all LPXT Department and staff meetings.
  • Ensure that faculty is upholding school standards and policies.
  • Delegate instructional duties to qualified and appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain current working knowledge of current and Federal, State and Local Requirements of the field in which they oversee, Career Care Institute policies and rules, syllabi and lesson plans, current school catalog.
  • Update and review syllabi and lesson plan as needed.
  • Review student outcomes annually and provide a report of findings and recommendations, if warranted, for improvement.
  • Cooperate with supervisors, director(s), students and advisory board members for
- improvement of the curriculum.

  • Review and address relevant student complaint issues and student survey issues through meetings, discussions, conferences, delegation to the appropriately knowledgeable and competent personnel that arise on a continuing basis.
  • Report any major problems to the Campus Director and Main Campus LPXT Director.
  • Adhere to syllabus as designed or prescribed by Career Care Institute.
  • Ensure that instructors are maintaining supplies and inventory and order supplies sufficiently in advance to allow for shipping.
  • Uphold and enforce school policies.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior and demeanor at all times with students, faculty and with CCI staff.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentially with staff and student issues and discussions.
  • Current CPR/BLS card and/or instructor card.
  • Provide notice of extended leave six months in advance.
  • All problems concerning employee issues are to be addressed to the director in a courteous and professional manner by requesting an appointment with the director.
  • Ensure that class is appropriately covered in the event an Instructors is ill or cannot make it due to an emergency. Additionally, instructors must not use sick time to free themselves for employment elsewhere.
  • To the extent reasonable, Program Directors are responsible to ensure that instructors prepare for all planned leave and provide lesson plans for all absences resultant from scheduled leave.
  • Routinely review exams, tests and if applicable quizzes on a weekly basis.
  • Familiar with school policy via the CCI catalog/handbook.
  • Filling out employee weekly reports each Friday is mandatory.
  • Assume the role of Clinical Coordinator if one is not available
  • Maintain continuing education units on a yearly basis
  • Recertify existing California Radiologic Technology certification or Limited Permit X-Ray Technician as requested every 2 years to maintainThe fact that certain duties may not be listed does not limit the performance of
additional duties.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possess at least a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Is a qualified practitioner who holds either a diagnostic radiologic technology certificate
