- Respond to all assigned referrals in a timely manner;
- Conduct all visits, with the exception of the first visit, at the convenience of the family;
- Provide appropriate level of care as directed by supervisor (frequency of visits, phone call, etc.);
- Carry a minimum caseload of six (6) cases;
- Complete the Family Situational Assessment that addresses the following but not limited to:
- assesses child, adult and family functioning;
- identifies strengths and protective factors;
- assesses risks and safety;
- identifies environmental factors that impact the family;
- Provide individual and family support services when needed through:
- empowering, engaging and building relationships with families;
- communicating respectfully and effectively with families from a wide range of backgrounds assesses child, adult and family functioning;
- support and mentor families as they manage their homes, parent their children, and use community resources;
- intervening in stressful and crisis situations;
- Complete and implement the Family Service Plan;
- Assist families with linkages to appropriate community resources and services such as mental health, medical, educational, social, and other services as identified;
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with other members of the team;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Protective Investigation and Dependency Case Management units;
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external community resources;
- Respond to all assignments timely and present professionally;
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and contractual obligations;
- Provide parenting, goal setting, anger management, budgeting skills, decision making/problem solving, and stress management services and training to families;
- Help families make appropriate use of community supports, making referrals when appropriate;
- Attend agency staff meetings as required;
- Attend case staffings as required;
- Maintain up to date client records in the FSFN state file system and complete all documentation in a legible, timely and accurate manner;
- Meet or exceeds individualized productivity expectations;
- Participate in the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement process as requested;
- Meets all agency and licensure training requirements on an annual basis;
- Make appropriate treatment and service recommendations to ensure ongoing safety of the child(ren) at the completion of the ERAT Program.

As a member of the Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ERAT), the ERAT Counselor provides support to families and children in maintaining permanency by providing in-home services and assistance to ensure the child's safety and welfare, health and well-being, while attempting to strengthen and preserve the child's family.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Level I: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field; and two (2) years of professional experience in the field of child welfare or social services.

LIST OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
