- Establish and implement BTD's Paint processes.
- Develops and helps design systems and processes to prepare materials for Ecoat and powder paint.
- Works with personnel engaged in constructing, controlling, and improving equipment to carry out material preparation and paint application.
- Prepares Standard work instructions.
- Analyzes operating procedures, equipment, and machinery functions to reduce processing time and costs.
- Assist in problem solving and prevention activities for the main facilities in the Paint Shop (Paint Booth, Oven, etc.)
- Serve as a technical expert during new product quote and launch.
- Request materials and equipment needed to prepare for production.
- Review and evaluate current processes and compare with the latest technology and capabilities.
- Ensure environmental compliance in paint systems. Check and confirm local and federal laws, regulations, and rules as required
- Leads or participates in root cause identification and corrective actions to resolve issues involving noncompliant product or material.
- Analyzes, calculates payback and recommends equipment for the manufacture of products.
- Complies with BTD's management system and processes.
- Performs other work-related duties as requested.
- Ability to effectively communicate with computer, phone, drawings, speaking and written skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the equipment, materials, methods and processes associated with Ecoat and powder paint systems.
- Strong working knowledge of the BTD management processes and procedures system and the ability to enforce company standards.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand the use of production blueprints and specifications.
- Ability to convert manufacturing processing plans into action; provide implementation of planned processing.
- Can provide, communicate and implement ideas that improve safety, quality, delivery and cost in part processing.
- Adhere to BTD's employee safety manual.
- Ability to establish, encourage and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Essential Functions:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Graduation from high school or equivalent and two or four year technical college or university with degree or certificate in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in painting operations in a manufacturing environment; six (6) years directly related experience may substitute for advanced degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and Skills Required:
At least two years of recent paint line experience in operations, manufacturing engineering or quality and the following skills and abilities:
