Carpenter Co has an opening for 1st shift Operator A in our Fiber department at our Riverside, CA manufacturing plant.

This position is responsible for the operation of numerous types of equipment used in the manufacture of fiber/filter products. This position works in a normal production/maintenance environment with exposure to temperature changes and loud noise.

Your additional responsibilities as an Operator A will include:

Maintains a neat, orderly, and safe work environment
Operates multiple machines, ovens and saws.
Produces manufactured product according to customer specifications.
Conducts quality checks on all material during all phases of the production ensure all products meet specifications.
Monitors equipment to make sure downtime is kept at a minimum.
Records pertinent data in the SAP system.
Follows daily production schedule to insure optimum efficiency.
Make adjustments to achieve desired results producing the product.
Assists with preventive maintenance.

Skills and requirements

Must be able to read and interpret a tape measure
Basic computer knowledge and ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Ability to work flexible hours and overtime
Forklift Certified
Prior machine experience is needed.

Pay depends on qualifications and experience. The Operator A hourly rate is $26.71 per hour.
