Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Ambulance Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and dispatching resources to ensure efficient operations. Your excellent communication skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations will be essential in this role.


Duties:


  • Receive and prioritize incoming calls from customers, clients, and field personnel
  • Perform phone triage to assess the nature of the call and determine appropriate response
  • Dispatch appropriate personnel or resources based on the nature of the call
  • Negotiate with customers or clients to resolve conflicts or issues
  • Communicate effectively with field personnel to provide necessary information and updates
  • Transcribe detailed information accurately and efficiently
  • Utilize GIS (Geographic Information System) software to track and monitor resources
  • Analyze data and reports to identify trends or areas for improvement
  • Provide first aid instructions over the phone when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls, dispatches, and actions taken

Qualifications:

Certification from International Academy's of Emergency Dispatcher IAED:


  • EMD/ETC or Emergency Medical Technician EMT Valid Certification(s):
-
American Heart Association
  • CPR Valid Certification (CPR):

  • MUST HAVE MIN.

ONE (1) YEAR OF AMBULANCE DISPATCHING EXPERIANCE:


  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Familiarity with GIS software is a plus
  • Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions quickly
  • Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectivelyBenefits:
