    Field Engineers must be able to apply the mission's project management model for development and installation efforts; and provide build, testing, analysis, deployment, and troubleshooting/lifecycle support for hardware/software/ network systems and applications. FE will work with internal stakeholders to conduct site surveys as part of the project management plan to properly plan, document, and execute the system integration. The FE will provide procurement and logistically planning support for communications systems build-outs. The FE will perform and plan all maintenance of the mission infrastructure CONUS an OOCUNS components. The FE will be responsible for planned upgrades, licensing, software patches, forecasting end of life replacements for network equipment. The network engineer will work with the ISSM to ensure all INFOSEC requirements are being met on the system. Must be familiar with TELCO aspects of the mission and perform work on required equipment. FE will work independently but as a part of an agile team delivering systems engineering to CONUS and OCONUS facilities.

    Required Skills:

    • Package deployment experience (build, configure, support, deploy, procurement quotes) into different environments e.g. fit-out and into the field.
    • Knowledge with wireless technologies e.g. GSM/CDMA.
    • Strong background engineering Microsoft Systems and required support.
    • Strong recent experience in Windows operating system and Microsoft applications to include Microsoft System Center/End Point products.
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of virtualization products with a focus on Hyper-Including VMware, Nutanix, Red Hat Open Shift and/ or Hyper-V.
    • Experience with storage devices such as NetApp
    • Knowledge of TCIP/IP routing and use of secure scripts.
    • Experience providing Tier 3 Support to technical systems.
    • Network experience (configure, install, maintain) with multi-layer switches, routers, firewalls, workstations, satellite, and secure communications.
    • Experience (install and terminate) with fiber optics and Ethernet cables.
    • Experience with anti-virus applications e.g. McAfee product suite.
    • Experience conducting site surveys prior to installation activities.
    • Ability to interpret drawings of rack elevations, system component front and back views, wiring interconnect diagrams, wire lists, and networks.
    • Possess knowledge and ability to provide training to onsite personnel on deployed packages.
    • Ability to test, inspect and verify all communications systems to ensure compliance with COMSEC policies and procedures and project management requirements.
    • Demonstrated strong performance as a technical leader working in a matrixed environment with project(s) requirements CONUS, OCONUS, on-site and in virtual environments.
    • Demonstrated capacity to understand and communicate technical ideas and concepts across various audiences, and the ability to quickly provide approaches to solutions within varied working groups.
    • Ability to manage and mitigate competing priorities work in fast pace and multi-building environment.

    Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI with POLY and be crossover eligible.

    Desired Skills:

    • Willingness to perform OCONUS travel as needed.
    • Prior OCONUS environments is helpful.
    • Operation Center support experience
    • Site survey experience for systems installations, infrastructure, and power requirements
    • Demonstrate technical training background.
    • Technical Certifications: Microsoft Certified and/or CCIE
    • Prior experience or knowledge of CSFC technologies and methodologies
    • Current experience in distributed work environment architectures and systems.
    • Secure remote mobile computing.

    Candidate must have a minimum of:

    • Years of Experience Required: 12+ Equivalent Experience can be substituted for educational requirement: Doctorate & 4 yrs., Masters & 6 yrs., Associate & 10 yrs., High School & 12 yrs.
    • Willingness to travel OCONUS up to 10%.

    Desired Education Level/Major:

    B.S. in Computer Engineering or related field

    The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
