Maintenance Worker - Part-Time Position hours per week

Hours - Monday - Thursday - 7:
00 a.m. to 12:
00 noon, with weekend work required

Position will consist of a variety of maintenance tasks related to St. Joachim and St. Anne. The tasks performed will be to ensure the buildings, grounds, equipment and parking lots are safe, operational, and secure.

A plus would be if the individual selected would be able to make minor electrical, plumbing, and other physical repairs, e.g., painting.

The position reports to the Parish Administrator and will also work with vendors, inspectors, including the Fire Marshall, to provide access to facilities as needed for contracted work and inspections.

Requirements:

The qualifications for this position include:

• Motivated, selfstarted with the ability to be productive working on their own
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and coordination with coworkers and service providers
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Mechanically inclined
• Basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing knowledge required
• Willing to take on new challenges
• Able to offer solutions to work being performed
• Ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation

Other Requirements which will be considered for position:

• Able to provide detailed monthly reporting on inventory of paper products, available equipment, e.g., light fixtures, light bulbs
• Completion of Mandatory Inspections for fire extinguishers, fire suppression system in church kitchen, provide advanced notice of mandatory inspections and communicate this information, in a timely manner, to the Parish Administrator on upcoming due dates.
• Report any safety concerns noticed on daily walkaround of the property
• Special projects as assigned
