We are in search of a skilled Occupational Therapist to become part of our exceptional team of professionals. This full-time position (Monday-Friday) requires flexibility to commute to various offices including Woodlands, Woodforest, and Spring.

JOB SUMMARY: Occupational therapists play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and creating treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs. They focus on restoring function, enhancing mobility, and reducing pain through a variety of therapeutic modalities. Specializing in hand dysfunction, OTs also treat musculoskeletal disorders and assist in postoperative rehabilitation. Moreover, they oversee therapy assistants, aides, and students to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Occupational Therapist Duties:

- Provide education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and health promotion.
- Refer clients to relevant community resources.
- Design personalized occupational therapy programs to enhance physical function and alleviate pain.
- Evaluate strength, coordination, and posture, among others.
- Document initial examinations and adjust treatments for optimal results.
- Administer manual therapies for pain relief and improved mobility.
- Offer equipment recommendations for home use and instruct on in-home rehabilitation.
- Coordinate with physicians and other stakeholders on patient progress and care plans.
- Provide supervision to therapy staff on treatment implementation.
- Perform any other duties necessary for the success of the OT program at SROSM.

Education/Qualifications:

- Bachelor's, Master's, and/or Doctorate degree in Occupational therapy from an accredited institution.
- Texas State licensure for Occupational Therapy.
- CPR certification.
- Proficiency in basic sciences and EMR systems.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to manage challenging situations effectively.
- Deadline-oriented and capable of adjusting treatment plans when needed.
