Our Mission
The California Autism Network is dedicated to providing all-encompassing support and services to adolescents and adults with autism so that they can work towards a life of independence through individualized skill training, education support, and meaningful employment.
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Transition Specialist Role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating weekly 1:1 meetings and monthly group outings with assigned clients.
They must have the ability to prepare appropriate lessons and activities that are aligned with the program curriculum and individualized goals of each client.
Weekly Documentation and Semi-Annual Progress Reports will be expected, and Transition Specialists will participate in monthly and quarterly staff meetings and training.
Work Schedule
Part-time positions are available dependent on desired caseload and employee/client location. Full-time positions are available as individual caseload increases. We are currently seeking a Transition Specialist to serve clients in the Murrieta and Temecula areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- At least 1 year of experience working with adults diagnosed with highfunctioning autism is preferred
Requirements:
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- DOJ/FBI criminal background clearance
- Valid California driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation and vehicle insurance
Benefits

Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly meetings and trainings with clients to target instruction aligned with individualized client IPP goals and CAN supplementary goals.
- Conduct semiannual assessments to determine appropriate clientcentered supplementary goals
- Provide weekly progress notes and quarterly progress reports trainings aligned with individualized client goals
- Participate in monthly and quarterly training on program curriculum and best practices.
- Maintain consistent communication and records with the Inland Regional Center
- Communicate any issues promptly to the Program Director
