    RxSight is an ophthalmic medical technology corporation based in Aliso Viejo, California, specializing in the world’s only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) customized post-cataract surgery. The company aims to enhance the cataract surgery experience by enabling surgeons to collaborate with patients for tailored outcomes.

    OVERVIEW:

    The Clinical Training Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering top-notch training and assistance to physicians and staff regarding RxSight products and technology. Responsibilities include supporting clinical activities at customer sites, overseeing surgeries, conducting clinical evaluations, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and maintaining effective communication between customers and internal departments.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Train Physicians and staff on RxSight technology and best practices.
    • Communicate with sites to identify key personnel for smooth onboarding.
    • Ensure staff competence in RxSight technology for rapid adoption.
    • Manage Customer introduction, onboarding, and ongoing training in line with SOPs.
    • Conduct audits to ensure training effectiveness and adherence.
    • Assist with customer complaint-handling and manage Clinical Study sites.
    • Support new personnel training and maintain clinical support standards.
    • Provide feedback for optimizing RxSight technology results.
    • Monitor and update Training Portal regularly.
    • Attend global trade shows and assist with clinical data collection.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Ability to engage with various individuals, including surgeons and clinical staff.
    • Extensive clinical experience in cataract surgery planning and operations.
    • Strong understanding of cataract patient diagnostic processes.
    • Proven communication skills and ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
    • 6+ years of ophthalmic industry Clinical experience.
    • Valid motor vehicle operation license in the applicable region.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This position takes the lead in clinical activities at customer sites and sets a role model behavior for interactions.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Optometry or related field.
    • Three to five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Proficient in manifest refractions.
    • Completion of required training programs.
    • Compliance with essential training requirements.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    • Formal training in vision sciences.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Proficiency in MS Office Products.
