Engineering Director, Database, Oracle SaaS at Oracle in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description The SaaS Continuity Engineering team is responsible for the design and build of the systems and services that enables Oracle to deliver industry-leading availability and performance objectives for Oracle's SaaS services.
The team architects and develops high-availability and service continuity solutions across the entire stack - infrastructure, database, platform, and application services - and all the dependent components.
The engineering innovations enable SaaS services to be available to customers without any disruptions even during large-scale incidents.We are building the next-gen service continuity solutions in a fast-pace and innovative environment and looking for a hands-on engineering leader who can lead design and development of solutions and services to operate Oracle Database at scale with maximum availability and performance.
We are looking for a seasoned engineering leader to grow and lead a team that is building software and solutions for improving availability, resiliency and performance of database platform for Oracle SaaS services.
You will be providing leadership, vision and strategy needed for the delivery of these services.We are looking for someone who has experience:
+ Leading engineering teams that have delivered successful cloud services + Leading engineering solutions for database and related components + Launching new cloud solutions and establishing operational excellence + Setting the technical direction + Building high performing geographically distributed engineering teams + Coaching, mentoring and developing best talent + Establishing and stimulating software development standards and processes along with best practices for the entire org + Developing strategic plans to accomplish technical as well as business objectives with leadership chain,team and customers Responsibilities Required Qualifications + MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience + Experience with Cloud infrastructure, ObjectStore and other cloud storage services + Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in SaaS or PaaS engineering + Strong development experience in Java, C++, or similar OO languages + Proficient in scripting (Python, Shell years experience in a software engineering environment + 8+ years in leading engineering solutions for Oracle database and storage technologies + Experience in building highly available and fault tolerant services + Extensive experience with Oracle Database, Exadata, Grid Infrastructure, ASM & RAC + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Experience in a collaborative, agile development environment Preferred Qualifications + Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (Examples: AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) + Extensive experience with Oracle Database and Exadata + Experience in leading teams that have delivered successful products + Understanding of distributed computing and cloud technologies #LI-MO1

from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Paid time off:
Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits.
For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation paid holidays 10.Paid sick leave:
