SCOPE OF ROLE
Production Control is responsible for the planning, controlling, and administration of plant production schedules, production cost and quality standards. Maintain production schedules within cost and quality standards.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, plans, and manages production control activities to improve runtime
• Reviews production plan to identify risks and communicates the same to Manager
• Plans inventory management techniques to avoid any shortages and excesses
• Plans and monitors material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations
• Develops process improvements for inventory, manufacturing, and production control systems to meet business objectives
• Analyzes customer orders and establishes production schedules for timely delivery
• Reviews change orders and executes them appropriately
• Investigates production control problems, analyzes root causes, and derives solutions
• Determines equipment, material, and manpower requirements for each job order
• Monitors the execution of job orders and adjusts production schedule for timely delivery
• Develops positive relationships with staff and customers to meet productivity goals
• Analyzes current and backlog job orders and accordingly develops production plan and schedules
• Works with materials, manufacturing, and purchasing departments in identifying and resolving production planning problems
• Collaborates with others on continuous process improvement and cost reduction plans
• Problem solves and communicates effectively with work team
• Contributes ideas for continuous improvement of workflow and processes
• Follows all safety guidelines and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
