- Collaborate with lead teacher(s) to support literacy instruction daily lesson plans.
- Aid literacy skills assessment and progress monitoring.

- Must be in good academic standing and maintain a cumulative Nevada State GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be enrolled as a degree seeking student with a minimum of 6 credits in the current or upcoming semester at Nevada State.
- Must be a program-admitted student in the School of Education (Teacher Education or Speech Pathology).
- Must qualify for Federal Work Study as determined by the Nevada State University Office of Financial Aid, based on the results of the FAFSA.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).
- Successfully completed at least one School Education Literacy Course.
- Agree to have literacy faculty serve as a reference.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Must take a TB test.
- Ability to work 19.5 hours per week between the hours of 9:00 am-3:00 pm.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn and apply procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple duties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience working with children.

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Early Childhood Education - Literacy Tutor. The student worker will support the early literacy development of children ages 3-5, working with teachers and staff in the Nevada State Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC).
