SUMMARY:

  • The Automation Tech III will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise for our company's CygNet systems.
  • Play a crucial role in creating, modifying, and maintaining devices, points, and facilities within the CygNet system, ensuring adherence to company standards and guidelines.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of handson experience working with CygNet and a solid understanding of its functionalities.
  • Responsible for managing alarms, attributes, and templates, maintaining HMI displays, troubleshooting and correcting data and facility issues, assisting with alarm assignments and notifications, communicating with field operations, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Additionally, the Automation Tech III will develop and maintain CygNet reports using VBScripts and/or the CygNet Report Module.

DUTIES:

  • Provide technical support for the company's CygNet systems, ensuring efficient operation and optimal performance.
  • Create, modify, and configure devices, points, and facilities within the CygNet system following company standards and guidelines.
  • Manage alarms and alerts within CygNet, ensuring timely notifications and appropriate actions.
  • Configure attributes for facilities and points, maintaining accurate and uptodate information.
  • Develop and maintain templates for consistent implementation across the CygNet system.
  • Maintain and update HMI displays, ensuring an intuitive and userfriendly interface.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify missing or incorrect data and facilities within the CygNet system.
  • Assist with alarm assignments and notifications, collaborating with field operations to address critical issues promptly.
  • Effectively communicate with field operations and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve systemrelated concerns.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to current and completed work, including system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  • Create and maintain CygNet reports using VBScripts and/or the CygNet Report Module to provide valuable insights and performance metrics.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum of 3 years of handson experience working with CygNet systems.
  • Indepth understanding of CygNet functionalities, architecture, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating, modifying, and configuring devices, points, and facilities within the CygNet system.
  • Experience managing alarms, alerts, and attributes in CygNet.
  • Familiarity with the development and maintenance of templates for consistent system configuration.
  • Knowledge of HMI displays and their customization within the CygNet environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and correct missing or incorrect data and facilities.
  • Familiarity with alarm assignments and notifications processes.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with field operations and other stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills for maintaining accurate records and workrelated documentation.
  • Proficiency in creating CygNet reports using VBScripts and/or the CygNet Report Module.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in related field
