Your Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader of Product Design to lead our design team, create & drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our product design initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in user-centered design, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional user experiences.
A Day in the LifeDesign Evangelism:
Set an ambitious vision for the department and the company. Regularly engage with executives on important decisions and initiatives.
Coach Product Design Leaders:
Help Product Design leaders enhance their skills and leadership experience.
Budget and Resourcing:
Manage the budget for Product Design, including compensation planning, non-headcount budget allocations, and trade-offs.
Cross-Product Collaboration:
Ensure that Product Design is seamlessly integrated into the product development process. Advocate for process changes that facilitate collaboration between product management, engineering, and product design to create exceptional experiences.
Establish UX as a
Shared Responsibility:
Ensure other functions are engaged in the product design process.
Offer them opportunities to participate in and understand the outcomes of user research, and provide early feedback on upcoming designs.
Research Evangelism:
Champion user research and collaborate with product leadership to prioritize research efforts, validating that we are addressing the right problems in effective ways.
UX Initiatives:
Identify opportunities to enhance the experience of Innovaccer products, manage initiatives to address these opportunities, and track and communicate progress.
Goal Setting:
Define value-driven, yearly, and quarterly Product Design OKRs, and oversee their execution.
Culture:
Foster an open and collaborative culture based on trust, empowering everyone to deliver their best work.
Team Building:
Hire and retain a world-class team of Product Designers, UX Researchers, Technical Writers, and their managers.
What You Need
15+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in leadership/mentorship roles
Deep expertise in user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, interaction design, and information architecture
Proven track record of leading successful product design initiatives and delivering impactful user experiences.
Strong understanding of design thinking, user-centered design principles, and design systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
