Summer Program Team Lead
Position is for 7 weeks, Part Time (0-28 hours)

Summer Program Team Leader is responsible for providing oversight & direction to counselors and campers within their assigned age group, program, activities, & documentation for ACHIEVE Summer Program.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Supervise & mentor 1520 counselors.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings with counselors.
  • Provide training, direction & oversight of counselors/classrooms.
  • Ensure counselors and campers are attending scheduled activities.
  • Complete performance evaluations on each counselor.
  • In conjunction with program counselors, supervise and mentor 4555 campers with functional differences.
  • Ensure that counselors are completing program documentation in a timely & accurate manner.
  • Complete incident/accident reports on students/counselors as required. Responsible for complying with all Part 635, Part 671, Part 624 and Part 633 regulations in total, and reporting violations, deficiencies, and/or incidents to direct supervisor as they are discovered or indicated.
  • Assist with coordination and supervision on field trips & special activities.
  • Awareness and appropriate utilization of behavior management plans.
  • Serve as primary contact for communication with parents to inquire about any unreported absences or report incidents & problems.
  • Assist with handling of camper behaviors.
  • Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:


REQUIREMENTS

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in human services, recreation, or related field with 12 years' experience with individuals that have functional differences.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
  • Must be able to obtain & maintain certification in CPR, First Aid and SCIP (paid and provided by the agency).
