    Summary

    Job Description: As an AHD Cardiac Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures of the cardiovascular system to diagnose, treat, and prevent cardiovascular disease, following industry and regulatory requirements. Working closely with leadership, you will ensure the delivery of optimal patient care through adherence to standards and physician orders, utilizing advanced imaging skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Actively contribute to the accreditation application process.
    2. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to meet imaging needs and achieve optimal outcomes.
    3. Operate sophisticated ultrasonic imaging units and diagnostic systems effectively.
    4. Share knowledge and expertise in educational settings with students, colleagues, and physicians.
    5. Perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound examinations using the latest techniques and technologies.
    6. Conduct ultrasonic exams on cardiovascular structures in different hospital departments.
    7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, peers, and the public, in line with the hospital's values.
    8. Review images for accuracy and completeness according to established guidelines.
    9. Administer ultrasound contrast media following appropriate protocols.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Seeking candidates with a combination of education and experience in cardiovascular technology or ultrasound programs, with zero to three years of cardiac ultrasound testing experience. Must be eligible for Adult Echocardiography exam certification within one year of hire and possess current BLS certification.
