    Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

    Job Summary:

    The Cardiac Sonographer conducts advanced ultrasound procedures of the cardiovascular system to diagnose, treat, and prevent heart diseases while complying with industry regulations.

    In collaboration with leadership, this role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care by following established standards and physician directives, utilizing advanced imaging techniques.



    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Actively participate in the accreditation application process (ICAEL).
    • Coordinate imaging requirements with other healthcare providers for optimal outcomes.
    • Operate diverse ultrasonic imaging equipment and diagnostic systems.
    • Stay updated on new ultrasound techniques and modalities.
    • Conduct various cardiac ultrasound examinations, including adult transthoracic/transesophageal studies, stress echocardiograms, and more.
    • Perform ultrasound scans on cardiovascular structures in different hospital departments.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and peers.
    • Review images to ensure compliance with echocardiography standards.
    • Administer ultrasound contrast media when necessary.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education: Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology (Preferred) or Certificate from a Cardiovascular Ultrasound Program.
    • Minimum Experience: Zero to three years of cardiac ultrasound testing experience.
    • Preferred Licenses/Certification: Eligibility for Adult Echocardiography exam within one year of hire.
    • Required Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
