    As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

    Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.


    Join the Core Platform Engineering team, you will drive technical decisions by evaluating technologies and building customer-oriented solutions for the next generation of API Platform for Chase.

    You will serve as a technical expert for your team and will partner with stakeholders to deliver value.

    Job responsibilities

    Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendorsDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersDrives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processesServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesAdds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills


    Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityAdvanced in one or more programming language(s): Java ( or other JVM languages such as Kotlin or Scala)Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

    Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightExperience running large scale software systemsExperience with API management platform such as Apigee, AWS API GW, Kong, and Spring cloud gatewayKnowledge of cloud native architecture, micro service architecture and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with reliability practices and observability tools, such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, DatadogPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    Experience with Identity and Access management servicesExperience in development, deployment strategies and support of REST API interfaces, GraphQLIn-depth understanding of Identity and Access management servicesIn-depth understanding of networking and Edge technologies (DNS, CDN)Experience with Envoy gateway and xDS is a plus
