Description

The Recruiter/Admissions Advisor represents the college at all assigned high schools, visits, fairs, tours, and other recruiting events.

This person travels throughout Iowa and Nebraska during the recruitment season and performs various tasks, including new student registration, during the off-season.

A background and prior experience within the healthcare fields would be ideal.

The Recruiter/Admissions Advisor communicates with prospective students and their families regularly through presentations, phone calls, emails, text messaging, and meetings.

In collaboration with other recruiting staff and departments, this person assists with on-campus recruiting events for prospective students, as well as registration and orientation events for new students.

Required Qualifications
Associates Degree
Must express sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic and disability backgrounds of community college students
Must show a history of successful collaboration with co-workers regularly to achieve common goals
Must demonstrate student-centered decision making
Must convey a commitment to delivering first-rate customer service and exceptional daily support
Work performed in Student Services at an institution of higher education, preferably a community college
Iowa Western's Student Services Division fosters learning environments that engage and empower our students to grow and develop. All Student Services staff members must have the ability to excel in team and individual settings, multi-task, problem solve, manage their time, and maintain positive relationships with student, staff and faculty while thriving in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree with related experience within a community college
Postsecondary institution recruiting
Physical Demands

Requires prolonged sitting and at times extended period of walking
