- Draft and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark office.
- Collaborate with the Client's research and development teams to identify key inventions and discuss patent strategy related to same.
- Assist with responses to Office actions or opinions.
- Excellent professional credentials including a law degree from a well-respected national law school, admission to the US PTO, and active admission to at least one state bar, ideally Massachusetts.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or other relevant discipline
- Five or more years' post law school experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.

Major, Lindsey & Africa's Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for Interim Intellectual Property Counsel focusing on the drafting and prosecution of patents.
Overview: Our client seeks a skilled Intellectual Property Attorney to collaborate with its research and development teams to identify key inventions and ensure the protection of same.
Company: Our client is a well-respected, emerging life sciences organization focusing on the delivery of intravenous medications.
Experience: The successful candidate will have at least five years' experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
Location: The Client requires four days per week in its Boston offices.
