Description

The Official Scorer makes and announces all game decisions involving judgment calls, clarifying scoring rules interpretation to club and media personnel when necessary.

• Arrive at the ballpark no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
• Collect rosters and other applicable information and be set up at assigned seat in press box before first pitch.
• Input game stats via Pointstreak throughout all home games accurately
• Log information for the entire game; monitoring the system and making any changes throughout the game (i.e., roster changes, defensive substitutions, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Have advanced knowledge of scoring baseball is required
• Proficient experience in data & analytics, preferably baseball data
• Must maintain professional attitude at all times
• Ability to attend all RailCats home games as well as pregame meetings
• Must have strong communication skills, well organized, and detail oriented
• Proficient experience in Microsoft Suite and other data platforms
• Previous experience using Pointstreak software is preferred but not required.
• Must be available to mornings, some nights, and weekends as the schedule dictates
