Description

One of the largest and fastest growing providers of commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services in the US is seeking a National Account Manager for their central and western regions.

The company creates value by partnering with established businesses, allowing owner-operators to operate independently while providing resources and assistance to grow revenue and increase profitability.***Compensation commensurate with experience, with a base range of $160K-$190K, plus commission.

This is a remote position based in Houston.


Key Deliverables:


  • Develop and maintain strategic longterm relationships with high volume, typically multilocation customers to accomplish organic growth and longterm company objectives.
  • Deliver new customers to achieve organizational and revenue objectives.
  • Master the Endorsed Partner strategic points of differentiation and deliver a targeted sales strategy to capitalize on.
  • Develop new sales opportunities, as well as grow existing customers and support the partners' sales teams.
  • Work with the corporate team to identify and executive initiatives that foster profitable growth and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage accounts of all sizes by representing Partner team externally with customers and internally by supporting the sales efforts of the partners.
  • Support corporate Regional Sales Executives and partners' sales representatives.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the customers' position in the market, their product/service, points of difference and competitive landscape.
  • Manage customer input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines.
  • Manage RFP proposals to deliver wins.
  • Facilitate execution as a strategic orchestrator, ensuring delivery on the promises made, and the results customers expect.
  • Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels.
  • As necessary, visit customers, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationshipbuilding opportunities.
  • Proactively remain connected to customers and the everchanging market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable customers are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
  • Influence customers to make the right business decision by persuading collaboratively and by helping them see the financial and nonfinancial impact of their decisions to their organizations.
  • Responsible for the solicitation of project documents and information.

Skills and Experience:


  • BA in business administration, or similar relevant field experience
  • 5+ years of commercial or industrial direct sales experience
  • Demonstrable sales results and an established book of business
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
  • Problemsolving and negotiation aptitude
  • Proven ability to contribute in a fastpaced environment consistently and positively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customer leaders of all levels (Clevel down to entrylevel support roles)
  • Ability to work independently and manage personal time, keeping deliverables and deadlines top of mind.
  • Creative thinking and problemsolving aptitude
  • Strong writing, phone, and presentation skills
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Available for at least 50% travel.
