    Manager Accounting

    The Group offers a complete range of activities including shipping, handling facilities in port as well as logistics on land.

    The Accounting Manager is responsible to oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting and reporting operations, to include accounts payable. All daily, weekly, and monthly internal reporting deliverables for American President Lines, LLC are managed by this role. Ensure proper accounting and reporting for balance sheet and P&L activities

    Perform day-to-day operations of accounting and financial reporting to include journal entry prep and analysis, P&L review and analytics, and process improvements.

    Assist F&A team with proper accounting and reporting; ensure processes, procedures, and policies are known and followed. Ensure policies and procedures are kept current.

    Responsible for financial analysis to include analyzing results to ensure revenue recognition, accounting for expenditure cycle, and evaluation of accruals and other account valuations are recorded properly.

    Team with appropriate parts of the organization to understand and evaluate requirements, including the implementation of any required process changes.

    assist with PO coding
    Oversee and manage processes performed by the shared service centers and local AP Finance team.

    Liaise with US Tax Team to ensure accurate recording and reporting of all federal, state, and local tax requirements.

    Other analysis and projects as defined by CFO

    Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting and reporting operations and analysis - required; Previous SAP experience strongly preferred.
    Knowledge of accounting standards, segregation of duties and internals control standards.
    Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material with a level of professionalism and integrity
    Proven ability to manage multiple projects and people to successful outcomes.
    Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
    English fluency required.
