- Armed Security Officer**
Philadelphia PA Close to the Liberty Bell
Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a helpful, friendly attitude in your relationship to all, employees, and public.
- Prohibit unauthorized removal of government property.
- Perform access control by verifying and validating requested permissions to enter/exit all identified access control points.
- Report Hazardous conditions in accordance with the SOP.
- Report all Emergency's to the Supervisor or NPS
- Perform security related administrative duties identified within the SOP at all identified facility access control points.
Requirements:

Possess a current PA ACT 235:

At least 21 years of age:
-
Must be US citizen (native born or naturalized):
-
Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent or higher education:
-
Able to pass background check and drug screen:
-
Speak and be literate in English to the extent of writing, reading and understanding printed regulations, orders, instructions, etc

Meet one of the following additional experience/education requirements.
1. 2 years of security or customer service experience within the last five years; or
2. An Associates Degree accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in a related field and at least 1 year of experience; or
3. 2 years of military or National Guard (active or reserve) experience; or
4. Successful completion of a state certified Police Officers Standard Training (POST) course; or
5. Any reasonable combination of the above.
- All must receive Favorable Preliminary Adjudication
- Pass Medical examination.
- Complete Required Training
- Pass all required examinations.
- Meet all other qualifications criteria to be NPS Contract security guard.
$30.74 Base pay + 4.93/hr in Health & Welfare
