Company Overview:
Join a prominent biotech firm located in the Greater Boston area as a Senior Accountant.

As the Senior Accountant, you'll take charge of the monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting procedures concerning debt, leases, and sales and marketing expenses.

This involves crafting journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and performing fluctuation analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance. You'll be pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of their operations. They are seeking candidates with 3-4 years of public experience in manufacturing or high-tech environments, ideally in fast-paced settings.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of accounting principles, strong analytical capabilities, and a successful history in public accounting and/or corporate experience at SEC registered entities.

Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, maintaining the general ledger, and conducting reconciliations.
Prepare and assess financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Assist with month-end and year-end closings by performing tasks such as journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
Provide detailed financial analysis to aid management decision-making.
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance financial reporting.
Contribute to the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Stay abreast of evolving accounting standards and regulations to ensure adherence to best practices.
Support external audit procedures and serve as a point of contact for auditors as necessary.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff to foster their professional development.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-4 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry roles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
